ALROSA sells rough and polished diamonds worth USD 337.6 million in October


ALROSA Group, the world’s largest diamond producer, reports sales of rough and polished diamonds in October and in 10M07.

In October of this year, ALROSA Group sold diamond-diamond products for a total of $ 337.6 million. The volume of sales of rough diamonds in value terms amounted to 326.7 million US dollars, diamonds – 10.9 million US dollars.

In the period from January to October 2017, ALROSA’s diamond-diamond products sales in value terms amounted to $ 3.695 billion. At the same time, the total cost of sold rough was 3.616 billion US dollars, diamonds – 79.0 million US dollars.

“Trading activity in October was higher than a month earlier – the company’s sales increased compared to September, which was supported by an additional growth in demand for small-sized raw materials at the end of the month. At the same time, sales in October last year were higher in money terms due to the realization of a larger volume of production from stocks, “Yuriy Okoyomov, ALROSA Vice-President, commented on the results of the October sales.
