GSI Opens New Lab in Botswana

Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI-December 2014 – Gemological Science International (GSI) one of the largest independently owned gemological laboratories in the world, announced today that it opened its 9th lab in Gaborone, Botswana.

“After decades of just mining rough diamonds, Botswana’s capital Gaborone now cuts, polishes and sells the diamond which creates a demand for gemological laboratories and education” according to Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI. GSI has become a global powerhouse with offices strategically positioned to serve major markets worldwide. GSI opened another lab in Surat last month.

“GSI brings to Gaborone the same high level of diamond grading, consistency and customer service we have in all GSI laboratories worldwide.”added Mr. Gershburg

In addition, GSI Gaborone plans to establish educational programs, courses and seminars.
